So much for writing something in this daily. I guess that was a little ambitious for having an infant. When I write in her baby book, I realize that there just isn't enough room for me to put all the new things that she does, and that is irritating. So, I will try to keep up with her on this!The picture is from our first vacation with Addy. We went to Topsail, North Carolina. It was amazing! She did so well on the trip, and she really loved the ocean and the sand! She wanted to eat the sand, but if the binkie was in it kept her from sticking it in her mouth!
Her reflux has been terrible the past few days. I had to change her outfit a total of 8 times yesterday because she threw up so much. Normally I don't change her, only if it's really bad. She completely covered herself in baby puke 8 times, it was really bad. The doctors keep telling us that she should stop throwing up when she starts solids. Well, I cheated and started giving her solids at 4 months instead of 6 in hopes that it would maker her reflux better. The only difference since starting solids is that her puke is many different colors. Pea puke is the worst I think.
Since we've been back from the beach, she has learned to do so many new things! Her cry has changed from a typical baby cry to, "um-mum, mum, mum". So, I tell people she says mom!!! It's the sweetest thing. I don't like it when she cries, but I can't help but get a little excited every time she cries like that! She's also learned how the jumperoo works! I put her in it this week and it was like a light bulb came on! She just jumps like a mad woman in it now! It's so cute to watch her little head bop around! And then she gives you this look like, "did you see what I just did!!! Watch me!". And I could watch her all day long! She's also becoming much better at getting from her belly to her back. It is not her favorite thing, and she started doing it at 2 months, and then it was like she forgot how. She's back at it again, and I think she's trying really hard to crawl. She gets up on all fours for only a second, and then it's just too much! She scoots backwards like a worm though, and she's really good at that! I love to watch her. She looks at a toy that she wants and tries to reach for it, and in her excitement she just keeps going backwards. My favorite thing of all is that she has been sleeping through the night all week! No one tells you that it takes most babies many many months to sleep through the night. The only babies I ever remember hearing about are the ones that start sleeping through the night at 6 weeks or something crazy like that! The only downfall is that she likes to get up at 6 a.m., but that's a sacrifice I'm willing to make for her! I get up with her at 6 and feed her, and then I put her back in her crib to play. I want her to get the idea that most people like to be in bed at that time!!! She plays until she is tired again and then goes back to sleep. I'm so blessed to have such a wonderful baby! Wonderful except for the screaming fits she's been having this week. She'll just start crying the most terrible cry you'll ever hear! I'm pretty sure she is getting teeth, because by the time I think to put oragel on she's instantly better. She's not cutting her bottom two teeth, she's getting an eye tooth. What a weirdo!
Things are looking up in my world of breast feeding. I was diagnosed with Raynaud's Syndrome, which is a circulation issue that most people have in their toes or fingers. Only I could get it on my nipples! But, I've started taking a medicine for it, and things have been great since! I really have a love hate relationship with breast feeding. I do like it more than I hate it. I can't see spending hundreds of dollars on formula when I make baby food for free! I also know that it's what's best for my baby, and my baby only gets the best! For those who know, I had a lump removed from my right breast back in September of 08, when I was actually pregnant with Addy. It was scary, but everything came back alright. Tonight I'm dealing with a clogged duct and I can only attribute the clogging to the surgery. I have so many issues with my right side it's unreal! If I could stop using it all together I would, but it just isn't possible. I just am going to pray that I don't get mastitis again, ugh!
Josh is waiting for me to finish so we can go to sleep! He's so patient with me. It's almost midnight, and I'm still awake. Nuts. I've been saying all week that I need to start going to be earlier. Tomorrow.
